What is Girls Gone Mahjong?
A beautiful place to play American Mahjong online, against friendly computer players or your friends, with a gentle Mentor that teaches you as you go.
Do I need to know how to play?
Not at all. Our step-by-step intro and the in-game Mentor explain everything in plain words. Most people are playing within minutes.
Is it free?
You can play free for your first 7 days, no credit card required. After that there are no free daily games; The Club ($8/month) is required to keep playing with unlimited games and saved progress.
What is the Charleston?
It’s the friendly tile swap that opens every game of American Mahjong. You pass a few tiles you don’t want to your neighbors to improve everyone’s hand. We guide you through it each time.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Girls Gone Mahjong works in your web browser on phones, tablets, and computers. Nothing to install.
What are Jokers?
Jokers are wild tiles that can stand in for almost any tile inside a larger set (three or more). They can’t be used in a pair, though.
Are your hands the official NMJL card?
No. Licensing means we can’t use the official National Mah Jongg League hands, so we created our own original “Girls Gone Mahjong” card. Its hands are designed to give you the same feel and flow of play while you learn. Girls Gone Mahjong isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the National Mah Jongg League.
How do I cancel The Club?
